3,000 Jobs For ITI Certificate Holders, CM Inaugurates `Sopan-2008' Job Fair At ITI PusaBy ugesh sarkar, Section Jobs Wanted/Available
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday inaugurated a job fair, "Sopan 2008", at ITI Pusa here and expressed confidence that ITI certificate holders would be able to get about 3,000 jobs in 54 national and multi-national firms during the three-day event.
The fair has been organised by the Delhi Government's Department of Training and Technical Education and is expected to provide an opportunity to about 10,000 students to interact with officials from various companies for securing jobs. Job-oriented course Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Dikshit announced that the Department of Training and Technical Education would start new job-oriented courses in ITI which would cater to the needs of industries. She said the job fair had also been organised to serve as a bridge between the students and industry as it would seek to strike a balance between the demands of the sector and expectations of the students.
