Around 325 shops were sealed in Razapur Market of Rohini on Tuesday. The sealing was carried out following orders from SC appointed monitoring committee. These shops had encroached on DDA land.
Said president, Rohini traders' association Sandeep Dawar: ``Not much time was given to the traders to empty their merchandise. This market in Sector-9 of Rohini and is adjoining Razapur village, have been functional for the past 15 years.''
DDA official said, this eight acre land was meant to be a green area. He said: ``There were 90% commercial establishments and 10% residential dwellings. While all shops have been sealed, the residential establishments will be sealed later.'' TNN
